Following murder of man in Roehampton
Detectives investigating the murder of a man at an address in Roehampton on 22 April have arrested a 15-year-old boy.
The boy was arrested on the evening of Thursday, 24 April, and taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
Police were called at 8.15pm on Tuesday, 22 April, to an address in Huntingfield Road. Officers and paramedics found a man in his late 30s inside the address. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers await formal identification and are in the process of locating next of kin.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place on Friday 25 April at St George's Hospital Mortuary.
An incident room has opened at the Homicide and Major Crime Command under Detective Chief Inspector Charlie King.
DCI King said: "At this early stage we are keeping an open mind about any possible motive. Members of the public have already provided us with accounts of three young men seen loitering in the area prior to the incident. I am directly appealing to these young men to come forward and speak us.
DCI King continued: "I am also urging anyone who may have more information regarding this incident to contact us."
