Woman Strangled In Putney Flat

A 33 year old man has been arrested

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in her flat in Chilworth Court on Tuesday 10th December. The victim has been formally identified as 61 year old Anna Maria Thomas.

A post mortem examination at St Georges Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, gave the cause of her death as compression of the neck. An inquest will open and adjourn in due course.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, December 10, on suspicion of murder. He has since been sectioned under the mental health act.
