Police Change Death From Murder To 'Unexplained'


Fifty one year old Adriano Bussandri was discovered by firemen on Friday

As a result of further investigation into the death of Adriano Bussandri, in Putney, detectives have confirmed that the death is now being treated as unexplained, rather than murder.

A report has been prepared and will be provided to the coroner. A post-mortem at St George's Hospital mortuary on Saturday gave cause of death as smoke inhalation. The post-mortem also revealed that the victim had suffered multiple injuries to his head and body, possibly inflicted by a sharp object.

Officers were called at approx 05.10hrs on Friday 8 February to reports of a fire at a house in Holroyd Road SW15.

London Fire Brigade attended and dealt with the blaze.

The body of Mr Bussandri was found at the address and a subsequent post-mortem examination at St George's Hospital mortuary gave cause of death as smoke inhalation.

The police confirmed that the deceased was 51 year old Adriano Bussandri. He was the sole occupant of the three-storey house, he was seperated from his wife and eighteen year old daughter.
