Putney Bus Rage

Roehampton woman in bus rage incident

Louise Sawyer convicted of ABH on bus drivers

When Louise Sawyer, aged 20 of Swathling House, Roehampton, and her friend were travelling back late at night this February on the N14 bus they refused to leave the bus when it terminated at Putney Heath garage. They demanded to be taken on to Danebury Avenue.

After the driver asked them to leave again Sawyer attempted to gain access to his cab claiming she needed to contact her mother. She became abusive and punched the driver when told to stop.

Another driver came to help his colleague and was involved in a struggle following which Sawyer and her friend fled. However most of the incident was captured on CCTV.

As a result the court sentenced her to 120 hours community service as well as to pay costs and compensation.
