Drugs raids result in 5 arrests and retrieval of stolen property

On Tuesday 1 st April 2008 the Wandsworth Borough Tasking Unit with with the CID Crime Squad and Roehampton SNT executed a warrant under the Misuse Use of Drugs Act at a flat in Brockbridge House, Tangley Grove, Roehampton, SW15. The warrant was obtained after information pertaining to believed drug dealing from the flat was received from local residents and submitted by Roehampton SNT. The door was forced open and inside the flat 3 persons were detained, 2 males and a female, one of the males being the tenant.

After a thorough search a large quantity of what was believed to be Class A drugs and a small quantity of herbal cannabis was recovered. All 3 persons were arrested and held at Wandsworth Police Station.

Subsequent analysis of the believed Class A drugs was carried out and it was found to be 50 rocks of crack cocaine and 122 wraps of heroin. All 3 persons were interviewed and the male tenant was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs namely crack cocaine and heroin and was remanded in custody. The other male and female have been bailed pending further investigation.

On Wednesday 2nd April 2008 Roehampton SNT in conjunction with the Wandsworth Borough Tasking Team, and Merton Borough CID Officers executed a warrant under the Misuse Use of Drugs Act at flat in Blendworth Point, Wanborough Drive, Roehampton, SW15. The warrant was obtained after information pertaining to believed drug dealing from the flat was received from local residents and submitted by Roehampton SNT.

A thorough search was conducted and a quantity of what was believed to be Class A drugs, 2 Section 5 firearms and numerous stolen property electrical and jewellery were recovered. 2 persons were arrested, the male tenant and his teenage son. Both have been bailed pending further investigation.

Roehampton SNT believe that the both successes are "Due to good communications with Roehampton SNT, Wandsworth Borough Council and the local residents, sufficient information was received to obtain a Court warrant which enabled the large quantity of drugs to be taken out of circulation and the perpetrators arrested."
