Local PCSO Raises Money For Roehampton Charity


£325 from Marathon run

PCSO Nicky Edwardes ran this years London Marathon. Nicky raised £325 in Sponsorship for the charity Regenerate. Most of the Money was donated by Nicky’s colleagues at the local police station. The money Nicky raised will be sent to the Kenya branch of the charity.

Regenerate
is charity which operates in SW London and Kenya. Regenerate aim to improve the quality of life for children, young people and families that are affected by child deprivation and high youth crime.

Andy Smith from Regenerate said “ Thank you so much for the £325 that you raised for our work in Kenya.  The money makes such a huge difference to people’s lives over there.” The money Nicky raised will support efforts in Kenya to keep five children safe and off the streets.

Nicky has been working with Regenerate in Roehampton for the last year. She is a familiar face at their sessions meeting and helping local people.

Sergeant Sean Mooney said “I am delighted to see Nicky’s hard work has had such positive impact both in Roehampton and around the world in Kenya”.
