Crimes can also be reported online, through www.online.police.uk/ . This is only for non-urgent crimes, where an immediate police response is not required.
ASSISTANCE
Putney Police Sector Office, Putney High Street (next to the cinema), for crime prevention advice, property marking, etc. Open from Monday to Friday between 11am and 2pm and on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
Age Concern Wandsworth, tel. 0208 870 2020 can offer advice and assistance to the over-50s, whether or not you have been a victim of crime. You can also report a crime and get advice at the Age Concern Safe & Secure Advice Desk, each Thursday from 10am to 1pm, where you can speak to a police Crime Prevention Officer, Victim Support worker or a Community Safety Officer.
Victim Support, tel. 0207 223 1234, is an independent charity that helps people cope with crime.
Trained staff and volunteers, based in local branches, contact people after a crime has been committed, to offer free, confidential support and information. The Police and other organisations refer victims of crime to Victim Support; however some people feel able to ‘pop in' to one of our branches to ask for assistance.
Community Policing Contact Centre, Islamic Centre, 145 Upper Tooting Road, London SW17, between 11am and 1pm on Saturday mornings, will be pleased to mark mobile phones and other property, give advice and accept third party reports of crime.
