Buy a Charity Card this Christmas
Shoppers from Putney and the surrounding areas can buy Christmas cards from more than 25 national and local charities, such as the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability and Trinity Hospice, in one place. Cards for Good Causes – which sells charity cards across the country – opens its Putney shop on 1 st November this year. Once again it will be located in the mid-15th century Tower, restored in 1845, the 1960s and again in 1982 after the fire, at St Mary’s Church on Putney Bridge.
Putney charity Christmas card shop is one of a national network of shops. Over the last five years the charities have received £20 million from Cards for Good Causes for their Christmas card sales. Because Cards for Good Causes keeps it operating costs to an absolute minimum, charities receive at least 80p in every £1 from their card sales out of which they have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards and any applicable VAT.
Look out for the red triangular Santa sign!
