November will bring changes to bus stopping arrangements in Putney
There will be changes to bus stops in Putney town centre in November 2013 because of works on the pavement outside Putney station.
Temporary changes from Saturday 2 November:
• Bus stops D and E on Putney High Street which together are served by routes 14, 85, 424, 430 and N74 will be closed until 17 November 2013 to allow for the pavement work. The closest alternative stops are L & R.
Permanent changes from Saturday 2 November:
• Bus routes 220 (towards Wandsworth) and 270 (towards Mitcham) will no longer serve stop R on Putney High Street. The closest alternative stop is U on Putney Bridge Road.
Permanent changes from Monday 18 November:
• Bus routes 85 (towards Kingston) and 424 (towards Putney Heath) will serve stop H on Putney Hill instead of stop E on Putney High Street.
• Bus route 93 towards North Cheam will serve stop E on Putney High Street instead of stop H
These changes because after the works are complete the stops outside the station will no longer be suitable as driver changeover points. TfL have said that publicity will be displayed locally advising customers of the changes
including information about where they can catch their buses.
