Another Footballer Caught Speeding on A3 in Putney

28-year-old Christian Benteke, who plays for Crystal Palace has admitted speeding on the A3 Tibbets Underpass.

He was clocked over the speed limit at 1.41pm on 3 March earlier this year. The Belgian striker was driving his black Bentley Bentayga.

Sentencing was due on 27 Sepetmber but it has been delayed until November as Mr Benteke's solicitor applied to adjourn the hearing to link it with two other speeding allegations.

In December 2018, Chelsea FC's Cesc Fabregas was caught driving at 68mph on the 40 mph on the Tibbet's slip road.

In January 2019 Chelsea & England midfielder Ross Barkley, was caught by a speed camera on the Putney stretch of the A3 going at 58mph in a 40mph limit.
