Pizza and drinks will be brought to your table as you play
September 30, 2026
Annie’s Room, a social darts bar from the team behind Le Fez and Chelsea’s Embargo Republica, opens on 8 October at 200 Upper Richmond Road, promising darts, drinks and sourdough pizza under one roof.
Six oches with automated scoring, rules on the wall, staff on hand to guide newcomers, and enough space for groups of eight to ten to spend an hour or ninety minutes competing. It’s designed for birthdays, work socials, after-work drinks.
Owner James Somers says the concept grew from wanting to add something playful to Putney’s nightlife. “Putney has plenty of places to drink but we wanted to create a venue where you can also have a bit of fun with your mates and meet new people. Darts is the most sociable game there is. You throw for thirty seconds and then you spend two minutes being mocked about it. Or at least, I do.”
The venue sits alongside Le Fez but operates as a completely separate 100-capacity bar, styled with warm lamplight, deep booths, dartboard greens and creams, and Edwardian-inspired patterns based on the shape of a dart flight..
Annie’s Room has its own pizza kitchen serving six sourdough pizzas with homemade dips, all delivered straight to your table so no one has to abandon their oche mid-game. The drinks list includes 14 house cocktails — multiple Margaritas, a Smoked Doctor’s Orders, a Strawberries and Cream Negroni and Liquid Gold — alongside beers, wines and low-and-no options
The opening has been welcomed within the industry. Catherine West, Key Account Manager at Jägermeister UK, said it was encouraging to see independent operators investing in new concepts. “The competitive socialising sector has shown strong momentum and remains one of the most exciting areas of growth in hospitality. Openings such as Annie’s Room are a positive sign for the industry, bringing fresh experiences to consumers and helping drive footfall and engagement across the wider market.”
Annie’s Room is the first standalone concept from Eclectic Bars & Clubs Ltd, founded by Somers and Alex Tomovic, the team behind some of South-West London’s best-known nightlife spots.
Annie’s Room opens on Thursday 8 October. Bookings are now live at anniesroom.co.uk.
