Twenty-One Year Old Named as Last Week's Road Accident Victim


Police continue appeal for witnesses

Local resident Wilkinson Kedienhon has been identified as the victim of the accident on the Upper Richmond Road last Thursday whilst Police continue to appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision in Mortlake.

Officers on patrol at approximately 5am on Thursday 3 December came across what appeared to be a collision between a male pedestrian and a heavy goods lorry on the A205 Upper Richmond Road junction with Priory Lane SW14.

London Ambulance Service attended but the 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene at 05.21hrs. The post-mortem took place at Kingston Mortuary on 4 December and gave cause of death as multiple injuries. An inquest opened and adjourned at Fulham Coroner's Court on 8 December. The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was arrested. He has been bailed to a date in February 2010 pending further enquiries

The Collision Investigation Unit at Hampton Traffic Garage is investigating and officers are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 020 8941 9011.
