21 year old local man dies after being hit by a lorry
Enquiries are underway following a fatal collision where a 21-year-old man died on the A205, it is believed that he is a resident in the SW15 area. His next of kin have been informed but formal identification is yet to take place.
Today, 3rd December at around 5:00 am officers on patrol came across what appeared to be a collision between a male pedestrian and a large articulated white & orange heavy goods lorry on the A205 Upper Richmond Road junction with Priory Lane, SW14.
London Ambulance Service attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The A205 was closed for several hours. The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and was arrested. He has been taken to a South London police station. Enquiries continue with the collision investigation unit at Hampton Traffic Garage investigating.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision to contact 0208 941 9011. A post mortem examination is due to take place at Kingston Mortuary tomorrow, (4th December).
