Limited edition print by local illustrator Alice Thompson for one lucky member to win

Born & bred in Putney, Alice Thompson has recently graduated from a Masters in Illustration from Camberwell (University of the Arts, London). Her work has just been selected for publication under the category ‘New Talent’ in Images 36, a magazine promoting the best of new British Illustration.

Currently working freelance and taking commissions while designing wallpaper and fabrics for Mitas and co (www.mitasandco.com) who launch in the New Year. Alice's current projects include illustrations for a website (www.emilywetherell.com) and illustrating votive stories for the Miracles and Charms exhibition at the Wellcome Collection.

One lucky member can win a signed limited edition (1/40) 'All the birds in the air' which is based upon the following limerick:

'There was a Young Lady whose bonnet,
Came untied when the birds sat upon it;
But she said: 'I don't care!
All the birds in the air
Are welcome to sit on my bonnet!'

" I work mainly in pen and ink and have just had an exhibition of line drawings, including illustrations for Edward Lear’s Book of Nonsense. I enjoy collaborating with other creatives and am part of a collective called ‘Little drifters’."

She continued:" I have also had great fun illustrating the recipes for a cookbook promoting the Charity, Walking with the Wounded, which we hope to publish in 2012. I am inspired by conversations, people and narratives and am keen to work on book illustration in future projects."
