Local Artist To Hold Putney Library Exhibition

Depicts urban landscapes in soft pastel colours

You are invited to Cally Lathey's first solo art exhibition, open until April 19th at Putney Library (4 Disraeli Road, SW15).

The exhibition showcases a variety of contemporary illustrations, including studies of Putney and its surrounding areas, as well as scenes from Brooklyn in New York. Both original drawings and prints will be available to purchase at the exhibition.

Calley is a lifetime Putney resident, and recent graduate of Central Saint Martins college of Art and Design where she completed a BA in Textile design. Whilst at Saint Martins, Calley specialized in knit, though discovered a passion for illustration by her third year. Soon after, she set about sketching all sorts of quirky locations, applying soft 1950s pastel colours to often-drab grey cityscapes; this remains an important feature of her style as an artist.
