Six week period closes 25th June 2007
Today Wandsworth Teaching PCT launches the Putney Primary Care Centre public consultation. This consultation sets out the case for moving three GP practices: Putneymead Medical Centre, Balmuir Gardens Surgery and Dr Aaron’s Surgery, as well as a community clinic, the Eileen Lecky Clinic, from their existing locations around Putney into a new, purpose built primary care centre on the site of the old Putney Hospital.
The consultation lasts for six weeks and ends on Monday 25 June 2007. The outcome will be reported to the PCT Board on Wednesday 18 July 2007. Ann Radmore, Chief Executive of Wandsworth Teaching PCT says, “We are delighted to be able to move into one of the final stages of this exciting project. Wandsworth Borough Council approved our planning application to demolish the existing Putney Hospital buildings and build a primary care centre on the site in October 2006. We have extensively involved patients and the public in the plans for this new primary care centre over the years, however the public consultation is our statutory obligation and will help us to gain the views of a wider cross section of Putney residents. Everyone should log onto our website and read the consultation document and even come along to a public meeting.”
Visit the website to read a copy of the consultation document or fill in a feedback form at www.wandsworth.nhs.uk. Hard copies of the document are available from the three GP surgeries, the Eileen Lecky Clinic, Putney Library and Putney Leisure Centre or by calling the communications team on 020 8682 6875/ 6835/ 6592 or by emailing comms@wpct.nhs.uk.
Everyone is welcome to attend one of the two public meetings. Both are at All Saints’ Church, Putney Common, SW15 1HL on Monday 4 June 2007 at 12 to 1.30pm and Wednesday 13 June 2007 at 7.30 to 9.00pm.
Please note that if a Putney organisation would like a member of the consultation team to speak at a group meeting it won’t be possible for someone to attend every group in Putney, however we will consider all requests. Please email sarah.belton@wpct.nhs.uk or call 020 8682 6592.
