Am a little surprised to see that the famous artist and Chiswick resident  has been arrested for and charged with burglary (https://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=concrime1201.htm). Presumably some misunderstanding, and he was simply seeking inspiration?

Anyone else remember the footbridge over the eastern end of Shepherds Bush Green linking the shopping centre to the station?The outside was painted up to resemble a train and this was named Dave Wetzel (on one side - I don't recall who was on the other side!).

Big Issue sellers

There seems to be a lot of men of a similar appearance, often with a shaking leg, selling the Big Issue in W4 area. Anyone without a home or job needs support (we should do much more for the homeless, especially at this time of year), but are these men legit, or part of some organised illegal immigrant program, as my W4 neighbour suggested?  Just keen to know before parting with any cash…

Don't Miss the Snow Queen at the Tabard

Can't overstate how impressed I was by the Snow Queen which is on at the Tabard. I went with quite low expectations for my own personal enjoyment thinking it was just a treat for the kids. However, it was a brilliantly staged and acted production which wouldn't have been out of place in a much bigger theatre and therefore was more of a treat for those who were able to attend in this intimate venue. I go as far to say that you should go along and see it even if you are not obliged to by the demands of small people.

Turkey in shed plan goes awry

With the fridge and freezer full to bursting, the plan was to put the Christmas turkey in the shed until tomorrow. However, it looks like being a unseasonably mild day with temperatures getting up to 13. My garden is north facing so the interior temp of the fridge might not quite get up to that but assuming it is max 10 degrees centigrade, would you risk it or do I have to go cap in hand to the street's WhatsApp group to take a long shot that someone has spare fridge space?

Car broken into opposite Chiswick police station

Hello, on Thursday the 19th between 7pm and 8.30The back passenger window of my car was smashed by thieves They stole from the boot a tumi luggage containing several items as well as a much needed bag with a Filofax and other various documents. Some items were handed into Hammersmith police station but many others are missing.Since I cannot understand why a Filofax and other papers would be of use they must have discarded them in various places around the area. Please  be careful with this particular car park in the evening and please do keep an eye out  for various items including passports.Thank you to all and wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New YearWarm regardsRaffaella

Police radios linked to cancer

Officer Neil Dring  has died at 38 from throat cancer leaving 2 young children; his brother who has a PhD in chemistry attributes the death to a controversial airway system radio that uses tetra mobile technology. A police report found that 177 officers in one constabulary alone  had reported health problems from tetra radiation.Police have good pension pots dont they.....   hmmmm ..

Devonshire Road, new traffic restrictions

I see that there's no traffic allowed between 6pm - 8am. Seems a bit weird, no? The street is pretty busy with pedestrians during shopping hours, much less going on late evening and very early morning. What's the sense in that?There may be a very good reason, but it sure eludes me.

Lack of decorum  on Chiswick High Road

Standards seem to be dropping in W4…as in many parts of London…take this weekend….I saw 3 teenage girls casually dropping litter…when asked  politely by a member of the public to pick it up they just sniggered and walked away leaving their mess behind…then today I witnessed a man kicking and punching a bus as he held his can of beer with one hand and his genitals with another…then a  group of lads spotting all over the payment…is it just me, or are British behavioural standards slipping?

A Letter From Mark Zuckerberg concerning covid.

- Mark claims he was pressured and censored -'In 2021 senior officials from The White House repeatedly pressured   our teams for months to censor covid 19 content. I regret we were not more outspoken about it. The FBI told us that anything concerning the Biden family and their link to the Burisima Ukraine company was just Russian disinformation. Its since been made clear that it was NOT Russian disinformation. We're changing our policies to make sure this doesnt happen again - we no longer wait around for fact-checkers'.
