New Lifestyle Concierge Business for 50+ Chiswick residents

Hello!  I'm thinking of setting up a Chiswick lifestyle concierge business targetted to 50+ Chiswick residents, on a monthly subscription basis. Client's pay for time, not a list of services, and it is bespoke and tailored to each individual's needs that can vary month to month.  If you are of this target demographic, would you kindly reply to the questions below for my research. I would be hugely grateful.  1) Which tasks or errands do you find most time-consuming or stressful?2) Services can include household errands and shopping, wellness, travel  and social bookings, pet care, household organisation. 2) Would you pay for help with these, and what would feel like good value?3) Are there any services you feel are missing?Thank you so much!  Answers by Sept 7th please.

Black and white dog

I saw a Black and white dog running down Chiswick high road this afternoon came from duke avenue and ran towards Devonshire road I followed on my bike got quite close but he kept running off had a coller on lost sight at end of Devonshire road hope he stays safe and gets reunited with his owner

Saturday tailback on A316

At about 18:20 on Saturday evenings there is a tailback on A316 from Chiswick bridge to Hogarth roundabout. By 19:30 the road is clear.  Where are they all going?

Can we change the name of our Borough?

Whilst "Hounslow" may have had a proud past ... the name today conjures up, in my view, the dreadful state of the scene in Hounslow High Street and it's environs.It's nothing to be proud of ... in fact this morning I have the dreaded task of having to visit Barclays Bank there ... having to side- step ugly scenes and the likelihood of being pestered en route.Then living miles away from there one is still under the 'umbrella' of that name "Hounslow"We need a new name!London Borough of "Magnolia" ?London Borough of  ?Any thoughts or ideas?

HATCH MEYHANE

We have lived in Chiswick for over 45 years and have seen restaurants come and go. Recently we read a recommendation for Hatch Meyhane at 4 Chiswick High Road. We have now been five times. The restaurant itself is bright and spotless, the welcome warm, the food great quality and delicious, the portions generous, the price reasonable.We stress we have no personal connection with the owners of this restaurant.

Bird watching

I have just seen a red kite lazily patrolling the skies over Bedford Corner and Chiswick Back Common. I have long been aware of these birds getting ever closer to central London down the M4 and M3 corridors ever since their reintroduction some years back. They are now a regular sight on the way to and from Heathrow and I knew it was only a matter of time before they came to town. They are a wonderful sight but small furry creatures might not be quite  happy to see them nor the foxes, as I'm sure they'll soon be availing themselves of the discarded fast food and overflowing bins in our parks and green spaces. On balance though I welcome them.

Litter Bins.

Last evening whilst walking past Waterstones I was taken aback to see a woman with two little girls merrily emptying the contents of a carrier bag into a litter bin, the items I saw several of were girls shoes. She was still there posting as I reached the end of the M&S hoarding. This evening, as I was entering Homefield park a man came from the other side of the road following me into the park, he placed a carrier bag, of which I presumed to be rubbish, into the waste bin,he saw me looking back and continued into the park for a dozen steps, them turned around and left only to cross the road and go into one of the houses on Chiswick Lane. Just why?

Pay by phone parking

Hey  got a problem with the app. Unable to put carer reg in when they visit. It has an unknown reg coming up which can’t be changed arghhh. Carers can’t afford fines. Anyone have a fix. Been ‘chatting’ with the AI but it’s as useless as a chocolate teapot. App worked fine yesterday

Can anyone recommend a local watch repairer? I have a 1980s watch that I would like to get working, or at least get an estimate for a repair.I have previously been a customer of Platinum Prestige in the High Road, but, after major problems with work they did, I don't want to use them again--much as I like to support local businesses.

New facilities at Chiswick Rugby Club

The club has been under new management over the last couple of years and the place has been transformed to be honest. Lots of parking, new changing rooms, big events space, BBQ and "costa-grade" coffee. Clean, spacious and very welcoming. Tons of kids from Mini-minis to six-formers playing on Sundays, it is a delight to witness(as a parent and general rugby supporter).
