Hounslow Council and Yellow Boxes -

There's been a few posts on the yellow boxes and Hounslow enforcement cropping up in the borough ie  Grove park/ BarrowgateThe Yellow Box guru highlighted a ridiculous one in Isleworth where it's impossible for any vehicle longer than a car to safely and pratically avoid an "offence " the good news is that he's found someone at Hounslow to i) admit it ii) promise to rectify ithttps://www.instagram.com/reel/Dezk7TCFJK5/?vrfl=MTQwbXY1djV3bGRsMA%3D%3DFor those without Insta, the summary is the design, implementation and enforcement is pretty much made-up council to council, and no-one has any oversight who is trained or managed to do this, hence why most are seen as money raking /cash cowsThe moral of the story.... if you feel a yellow box isnt lawful, logical, useable or beneficial - perhaps highlight it to the YBG or escalate as high as you can within Hounslow Council   ;-)

Two things.Recently I needed to go to the Tesco on Shepherds Bush Road. Something I never do with the car. Once done, I needed to head back toward Lyric Square. I sat through a few light sequences waiting for a gap and finally opted just to try as there wasn't a choice. I then realized it was either the bus lane or the yellow box. The timing simply didn't allow for traffic to clear enough to let any car let alone one in. No clue if I'm in the clear.Yesterday when I got home there was a PCN in the mail for blocking the box on Euston Road. A route I take several times a week as I have for nearly 12 years with nary an issue. No photo, just words and I am assuming the pieces of the puzzle add up to the yellow box. Duration of the infraction? One second.
