fines for dogs going in the lake in Chiswick House grounds

I was told today that the park wardens are now fining anyone they catch letting their dog in the lake, on the basis that:a) there are signs saying no dogs in the lakeb) it scares and disrupts the wildlifec) it may poison the water, if the dog has had flea treatments or the like.I wonder if it'd be possible to create a little pond somewhere in the park, purely for dogs to jump in.

No.Taking your dog out in this weather during the day should be illegal in my book and allowing them into ponds is also detrimental for the poor dog as well as the wild life.

Blue green algae can be poisonous or fatal if ingested by a dog.

Ha, I believe dogs can also become ill from being in the water.
