Just to inform people I’ve noticed a change to Weltje rd so probably other roads in area have had a change to parking restrictions. Used to free over weekend and free after 17:30 I believe week days, now it’s restricted 08:30 to 22:00 Every day.

Not to mention, Peter, the additional cost to anyone visiting a local business.

And as far as I know they don't have to pay.

Hillingdon have the best way, residents are given cards to put in windscreen of any visitors, it covers everyone, like careers, builders, family visiting etc., so they are not inconvenienced in any way.
It’s a tricky one to balance. Like you said, on the one hand costs for all visitors are increased when they visit during hours that used to be uncontrolled- there is some slight relief in that residents can pay for visitor parking at a rate that is significantly below the rate that is charged to people who are parking but not visiting a resident. The upside is that car owners are more likely to come back and have somewhere to park as will people visiting residents in the street. On the occasional occasions I go down Weltje Road to get onto the A4, the majority of parking space seems to be occupied, so a slight increase in people choosing to park there now that there are longer restrictions in Zone A could be a tipping point and a reason for people in Weltje Road to opt for longer hours.Where I live in LBHF there isn’t much parking stress so I doubt residents would support longer controlled hours.

It’s so often car owners who push for extended hours for parking restrictions, without thinking of the increased cost of visitor permits to be paid by all residents in the area. Having some friends round for supper or Sunday lunch could easily cost £20 or more under the new scheme.

Thanks for the tip off. There was a consultation with residents last year following changes in Zone A https://haveyoursay.lbhf.gov.uk/parking-consultation-zone-mand https://publicnoticeportal.uk/notice/traffic-and-roads/6a392dc96b30e0597add5a15suggests that it's not all the roads in CPZ zone M, but the ones closest to zone A chose to have more restrictions.Ringo App hasn't been updated with this information ( indeed if you try to buy parking at location 17713 in Weltje Road it says parking is currently free at this location).LBHF Council website also hasn't been updated yet.
