E3 sauna experience

Jumped on the bus the other day to get up to TG, and oh my goodness! The temperature was around 40 degrees, everyone sweating, no air conditioning, and in fact hot air being blown in.Does anyone know why the aircon simply doesn't work? Same on H91 and 237/267 so must be London-wide on double-deckers. I had to get off and walk, it was so disagreeable, and actually dangerous to health ...

Load of bull. I never venture to Acto High Street, but the other day I did. Coming back, I see an E3 coming, great 5 mins to the Tabard. Nope, I got back off halfway, it was exactly that, a frigging sauna. SSQ... Waste of space

Same on SL8/207. Some buses especially serving central London areas have air conditioning but our local ones are dangerously hot. And many of these buses have just ONE small window downstairs.  I used the H91 a couple of days ago when the district line was down and had a similar experience to you. The driver, stuck in traffic between stops, only opened the doors when someone became ill.

Would it run the battery down too quickly, maybe a downside to electric.
