Emanuel Hollow disaster

I just walked past Emanuel Hollow (next to Barnes Bridge).What a disaster.It used to be a little copse full of wildlife.Now it's a sterile brutalistic hell-scape that serves no purpose whatsoever. Is it too late to rip it all out and just let it go back to nature?
