I completely agree with Felicity on all counts.A very odd thing for Peter to have said. Shows a lack of understanding and, perhaps, empathy.As for the functionality and feasibility of the spaces in question, the amount of covers and turnover and offer are all part of the equation. There is also far more of an experience going to either the Hammersmith or Brentford location. No disrespect to Sam, but a cafe on TGT is another cafe on TGT plus there is no water view. I read an article in today's NY Times about local restaurants closing in the NY/NJ area where I'm from. The old maths was 40/60 food to alcohol. Alcohol sales have tanked. Non-alcoholic drinks cannot bring in the same revenue nor margin. So venues are struggling to keep up with ever rising costs especially given how younger generations are socializing. This will also be a factor here. Folks I know with pubs in town are seeing their once 100K takings on booze dwindle to a tenth of that.
