Olive's House

People will undoubtedly have strong views either way about this proposal and I can see things getting pretty fraught around Bath Road particularly when children's classes are taking place at the Arts Ed on Saturday morning.Personally I can see the pros and cons but what I don't understand is the economic logic. The number of small children in the area is falling, nurseries are closing and school rolls are down. Maggie and Rose - a previous attempt at creating a 'Soho House for kids' went into liquidation. This will be a massive facility with a huge capacity for membership. Blackstone know more about investment than I do, so what am I missing?

Car-free in that no parking will be provided.Yes, of course, families will drop off kids and traffic on the street will increase. That's a no brainer. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if parking nearby becomes more difficult especially on Sundays.

I can't see how this facility will operate "car-free" with families expected to attend.  They won't all have cargo bikes, surely?
