Of course ‘business’ wants to cut wages, pay less tax, cut sick pay, have gig economy employment hours, put up prices, reduce investment, etc, etc. At least Labour is trying to combat this rather than encouraging it. The ‘decline of the High Street’ is caused by people increasingly shopping online for most things, from furniture to food. As for the High Street, use it or lose it, but don’t blame governments.
