Be careful out there!

I have just landed flat on my back outside my house. The combination of last night's rain and low temperatures have  made pavements more treacherous than I have ever known them. Very few have been gritted and looking at Nextdoor.com I have not been alone in coming a cropper this morning!

Yes, it was pretty bad yesterday. On  my way to the 94 bus , I had to be extra careful , it was very slippery . When I was on the bus, near Goldhawk Rd station, I saw a man falling , hope he's ok. I think we would rather have grit than rainbow pedestrian crossings :)

Agree, Wednesday morning paths and roads treacherous in Chiswick and Grove Park many people reported they had fallen seen people fall and seen cyclists come off bikes. One person told me they slid when applying brakes.

That's good, temp rising and it's going to rain HEAVY all tomorrow's afternoon and evening, so all the grit and salt will be washed away I don't think councils grit pavements except for critical parts like steep hills, etc. Like they only grit main roads. Outside stations and retail are down to those retail shops and the train operators or TFL ext.

Pavements are the worst and agree safer on the road.This morning drivers on both directions on Wellesley Road, very kindly stopped to allow me to cross the road very slowly, they could see I was struggling on the pavement

outside chiswick health centre fishers lane a chap had a nasty fall , don’t why they haven’t put salt out .Be careful

Yes, I had to walk extra carefully. Paving stones are the worst; you're basically safer in the road!

Agreed - within 2 minutes of leaving my house and crossing Sutton Court Road to the station - I nearly slipped and I saw 2 people coming off their bikes - luckily they were ok.
