You're lucky it's only for a week!In Greenford, the fireworks plague starts the week before Diwali (mid-October) and goes on and on and on until the New Year. Some fireworks sound like bombs going over your house. Diwali and the day after it was like WW3! No one has any consideration for anyone else or respects the law that says they've got to stop by 11 (with three exceptions: Diwali day itself, Chinese New Year and New Year's Eve). You could still hear them at 2.30 a.m.just the other night. Fireworks are bad for humans, terrorise animals and harm the environment. But a minority, obviously with lots of money to burn, can inflict this misery on everybody else with impunity.
