Frankie's Bakery (where Elias used to be)

Just when you think there's no space for another bakery in town, Frankie's opens... and immediately becomes your favourite!

Our first visit today and we're very impressed. Delicious pastries (including squishy cinnamon buns), savouries, breads and decent coffee too. The friendly team at Frankie's are going to be very busy, and for good reason.

No association, just a very happy customer (with a particular penchant for tasty bakery goods and friendly service).

I hope Gordon McDonald has a good solicitor. You will need it.Expect a libel action from Lidl for what you wrote and published here.Perhaps if you ask nicely, you can ask to have your comment withdrawn.

If you are eating in , with a coffee etc, you can fully understand the prices of cakes/croissants etc.However for a freshly baked croissant to take away, for example, its difficult to justify it, when M&S (when open!) do the same quality (give or take) for almost a third of the price.

I visited the Chiswick Health Centre today.My results were so great ... and the podiatrist so lovely and informative too ...that I decided to pop along to Frankie's to celebrate.As I approached the shop ... opposite Chiswick Common ...I could feel mounting excitement.  Oh dear! CLOSED:MON, TUES, WED! Life has it's highs and lows!

It could be a last hoorah, some of them are worried they won’t be able to do so after the budget on Nov 26th leaves them with less than £1500 a week to live on.

Frankie's sounds nice.If you want the most expensive pastries in West London, head to Layla's in Churchfield Road, Acton. SIX POUNDS for a Miso bun. Delicious, I grant you. Large too.But...People seem to be driving there from Chiswick and there are weekend queues outside..

"Meanwhile, delicious giant croissants are 60p in Lidl's, not £3!"Yup, that'll be thanks to its global volume purchasing ability, and being able to bully its suppliers into delivering for rock-bottom prices. There's a space for both models, I guess.

I'd second this. We have been a few times now, and love it. Good coffee, nice pastries and very friendly service. Plus it isn't as expensive as some of the other options near by. I know there have been a couple of other bakeries opening recently, but one in particular seems to be closed most of the time...
