Reporting standards have advised against the use of the word accident for many years as it is deemed prejudicial ahead of any resulting court proceedings. Collision is generally used rather than crash but that is journalistic usage and there shouldn't be any problem with the general public using the term accident particularly in cases like this one in which it looks like there was no other vehicle involved.Thankfully, despite initial appearances, it would seem, according to the report on the front page, nobody was hurt, accidentally or otherwise.
