Gunnersbury Park Noise
I appreciate this is an old chestnut and that there is some discussion on another thread but we are finding the noise from the events at Gunnersbury Park particularly intrusive this year. We live in Oxford Road South so I'm guessing it will also affect people living in the Gunnersbury area - although it also seems to extend to Grove Park. It was odd to hear the commentators at the match at the GTech on Friday comment on the disturbance. I am posting this to share the response to an email I sent on Saturday (gunnersbury.locals@festivalrepublic.com) : very friendly with the comment that "it is vital that I hear from local residents as otherwise their experiences will not be taken into consideration". I think this only applies to the events today and next weekend promoted by Festival Republic (with a different contact point for the September events) but I wanted to pass that on. I hope that this is also on the radar for our local councillors (particularly Chiswick Riverside) when it comes to planning next year but I would suggest that the number and scale of these events (15-20000 people) is getting out of hand here. But in the short term I'd encourage anyone who feels affected to register their views.
