Resident's parking permit

As many of you will know, Hounslow now issue virtual resident's parking permits not paper ones. Having renewed mine in good time and received a receipt, I have now been issued with 3 penalty notices on 3 successive days for a car parked outside my house and paid up for. This despite my leaving a note in the car to say I had renewed. Has anyone else had a problem? I have written to the councillor responsible for parking in case it is a more widespread problem.

Richard Jennings is the forum guru on parking tickets. I know from previous advice given he would suggest locating the contravention code on the tickets and looking up what they are alleging you have done wrong.It may be a technical issue with the new system, in which case if you make an appeal to the council (rather than direct to a councillor) they may just rip them up.Good luck.
