Anna, regarding your claim that people are being paid to rubbish your posts.Are you telling the truth? If you're lying then you really need to think about why you need to lie. If your claim is true then please provide evidence of who is being paid and by whom.

It is actually TRUE that Monsanto has paid out millions of dollars having been sued in the US over Roundup/Glyphosate and has set aside a lot of money for claims.Monsanto is now owned by German company Bayer.  There is/has been huge lobbying in the EU of MEPs to stop this weedkiller being banned together with allegations of incomplete paperwork.  https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/24/us/bayer-monsanto-to-pay-2-billion-roundup/index.htmlhttps://www.lawsuit-information-center.com/roundup-lawsuit.htmlThere are a lot of scientific papers that have been written on this weedkiller - many are listed online.And other warnings:https://www.drugwatch.com/roundup/We've already seen how long it took for the admission to be dragged out of big companies that tobacco caused cancer.How much risk do you think you should take with other people's lives?  This is people's health and lives and those of their families at stake.  The effects of many poisons do not immediately show as quickly on human bodies as they do on plants and the solution to any problem should not just be ticks in boxes for an easy life!There are always alternatives and yes - some of them may well take some more effort but many people find that the satisfaction of a good day's gardening is worth that effort.  Just because something is an easy option does NOT mean that it is the best for ALL concerned.There's plenty more online.  Please do your own research.And why not volunteer to do some gardening work!

Monsanto have been sued in hundreds of thousands of cases due to their glyphosate weedkiller causing cancer and have paid out $10.9 billion  in compensation for this. I have posted about their dodgy details before , probably on the Ukraine thread.Good luck out there Chiswick ! We ll need it..

They are about to start again, prompted by a debate started by the Friends of Dukes Meadows, the head of which is passionately in favour of the use of Glyphosate. I am unsure whether this has been announced as yet, but I understand terms are being thrashed out between the council and Hounslow Highways.I am personally neutral on this, with manual weeding being expensive and not very effective. Glyphosate is a cheaper 'solution' but the experts have been unable to come to a conclusion for many years of whether it is harmful.Enormour research has been undertaken in the US and in the EU without any consensus emerging. Some might say that there may be research sponsored by the manufacturer Monsanto which may have been influential.

Dont fret about the weeds Davey, Hounslow council will 'Monsanto' them for you, - it will give you cancer but hey thats mafia corporations for you.
