Has anyone tried this restaurant? Any good?

Ate their once -chaotic table service. Restaurant appears to be better set up for outbound delivery orders on the food apps. Won’t be going back to eat in-store, as the experience was stressful.

I haven't been to Pasta Evangelists but it is worth checking out Cottura on Elliott Rd off CHR for a pasta-fix.https://www.cottura.co/

PE is passable. It's not a proper 'dine in' experience and so the pricing in our opinion is North of where it should be. Plus, you can get the option of smaller size bowls of pasta from other places nearby inc. Villa Geggiano

We also had an unsatisfactory ‘dine in’ experience shortly after they opened, with a scrappy photocopied menu that contrasted with the copiously illustrated touch screen take out displays. Not at all clear how we were supposed to order. I thought this was teething trouble but it seems not.

Total chaos,and we were told that we had to pay in advance as well as ordering by scanning a QR code. Food was average at best. We go to Cottura now, which is miles better!

Went for lunch yesterday. You can order conveniently via the QR code, which we did.  Table next to us paid the waiter so both options available.  Food was great. Perfect pasta with a rich & spicy tomato vodka sauce. My partner had the beef lasagne which was also great. Good portion size and good value given the quality of the food. Service was prompt and will visit again.

Absolutely dreadful. Avoid. I can highly recommend Tarantella on Elliott Road for a delicious, locally-owned pasta fix.

Ate there on Sunday, ordered via the QR code option (that worked well). Very fresh pasta (it's cooked while you wait) and a delicious sauce. It's essentially a pasta 'fast food' experience, so it's unfair to compare it to the likes of Villa di Geggiano or Cottura where the prices are very different!

The price differentials between Cottura and PE are negligible. The reference to VdG was to highlight that smaller size options are available, which are still ample portions.I wouldn't disagree on the PE/'fast food' comment but this only goes to highlight that for relatively comparable money, a nicer restaurant experience can be had at either of the two places referenced.I think any comparisons drawn are entirely reasonable due to this.
