Incident on Turnham Green

Does anyone know what happened on Turnham Green near the rock garden at the West side of the Green? There is ‘police do not cross’ tape preventing pedestrians from walking up to the crossing at Acton Lane. The officer on duty workday anything except that it was a serious incident and the path would not be open for a while.

The police were removing the tape shortly after lunch time. The fact that this tragic incident is being thoroughly investigated should be welcomed and the authorities have every right to take their time in doing so.

It's kinda weird and sinister that it's still cordoned off nearly a week later with a 24/7 police presence.

Yes, awful for friends and family for something like this to come out of the blue.Perhaps the "hazmat" suits are just be forensic suits, rather than anything more sinister.

See the home page. All a bit puzzling - officers in hazmat suits combing the area and takings samples just now - almost as though they suspected Novichok or similar!  Kind thoughts to the friends and family of the deceased ...
