Be careful when cycling through Ravenscourt Park

Be careful when cycling through Ravenscourt Park between Goldhawk Road and the basketball court as there are low branches above the path which could do serious head injuries if cycling especially at dusk when you cannot see them. I reported it to the council over a month ago but they havent done anything.

The council as a three to four year cycle for pruning trees in Ravenscourt Park but you can give them a nudge on a specific tree by reporting it as dangerous on the link on the following page:https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/environment/trees

Or get the backing of a cycling group or organisation.  All Councils are encouraging cycling with cycling courses.  I suspect there will be children cycling to school through the parks.https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/search?s=cycling

Think it's probably quicker and more effective to just turn up with some loppers and do it yourself.

Of course Ravenscourt Park is in LBH&F - did you actually contact the correct Council?  Otherwise I could imagine someone might just ignore a request.Apart from LBH&F departments you could also look for their local Councillors.You could also email:  ravenscourtparkfriends@hotmail.co.uk as they are very interested in their trees!There just HAS to be some cross-Council interaction somewhere.

Have you reported this to your local Councillors as they hopefully will be more active concerning the most local of problems?
