Reusing old PCs

I have 3 PCs of various ages and in various states to be got rid off.  I can simply take them to the dump (or possibly Currys/B&Q) for recycling but does anyone know of any charities or similar which would want them?

You are most welcome. Hobbayne is one of the oldest community charities in London. I know a number of their trustees and they are all kind, caring people Glad that Nick was able to help you .

I followed your advice and  took my old (but in VG condition) iMac to Mr. Robinson and he wiped it and will refurbish it for someone in need. Much better than taking it to the dump!I have never heard of the William Hobbayne charity before but they do some wonderful work.

If you google for this you will find several charities which pick them up to refurbish them or will break down and sell the parts. Much better than the dump!

There is a retired GP in Ealing who securely wipes PCs, strips them down to components and rebuilds them forfamilies in need.  His Name is Nick Robinson, he doesthis through the William Hobbayne charity. His contact details are:  ndprobinson@gmail.com
