I never open any of Cambell’s posts but your comments make sense because I have seen so many irresponsibly loaded cargo bikes and quite frankly noted that the riders are extremely reckless. Accidents waiting to happen because they are forced to deliver speedily by employers motivated by greed. They’re actually a road hazard.

I find it amusing that the first photo in the article Paul linked to shows a cargo bike clearly dangerously loaded, with either no or if you look very closely one small lanyard holding the parcels onto the bike along the long axis and no such protection should the load move laterally (ie left or right compared to the long axis between the wheels) - the sort of movement that is not uncommon when turning corners especially sharp corners.Maybe cargo bikes run by businesses need specific regulations about safe loading

Weblink broken. Ideal solution though for the maze that is the Square Mile. Although I would love to have seen them take the contents of our 3.5 tonne van full of AV equipment to Stationer's Hall. Some of the itms needed at least two people to lift them
