Well if Kahn hadn’t got rid of the water cannons they could have been quickly dispersed.  I suppose they can still use tear gas and rubber bullets to do the trick.

Yes I am fully aware that Boris bought them. One of the best things he did as mayor of London. Unfortunately Mrs May cancelled them purely to make a political stand against Boris because she was becoming an necessarily nervous of him. She didn’t have to do it because they are quite legal in Europe. Of course Mrs May also didn’t have to honour the Brexit referendum but she chose to do so and ended up getting sacked because of her utter stupidity. Kahn then chose to sell them off (actually give them away for next to nothing) also to make a political point against Boris. And now we suffer because the police could really use them now.

Oops, didn’t mean to put out a blank post.I’ve already pointed out to Steve that Boris bought the water cannons even though they weren’t legal to use. He seems to have a huge blind spot about the whole water cannon fiasco. Sadiq did the only thing that it was sensible to do, I.e. cut London’s losses rather than waste more money upgrading and storing equipment that it wasn’t possible to use.Not sure why Steve finds it so difficult to understand the reality of who was really at fault.Oh, and we haven’t had rubber bullets for many, many years, but I presume Steve was thinking of baton rounds which could potentially be used.

My analogy would be that Boris built a house without planning permission, retrospective planning permission was denied and the person who took over from Boris demolished the house.Still can’t fathom why Steve thinks wasting all of that Londoners’ money was one of the best things Boris did ( unless he thinks everything else Boris did was even worse, and I don’t think Steve thinks that for a second)

Take it from me Andrew, getting Steve Taylor to change his mind by pointing out facts is a thankless task.The latest update seems to me that there will be disruption in Brentford tomorrow. You don't need to be a genius to work out where this will be (although the total IQ of those participating is unlikely to get up to genius level). The location is a good one for the police to surround these idiots  with only two points of entry. They are best left to it but if you see a police officer today or tomorrow wish them the very best.

I can’t actually think of anything else ‘good’ that Boris did. I’m sure there must have been one or two things but I can’t think of any. Possibly all the lies and the Partygate saga have erased them from my memory because all I can think of is that he is a disgusting person. PS  I just thought of one. I thought the Garden Bridge idea that he devised with Joanna Lumley would have been brilliant to vamp up London.  Such a pity that Kahn prefers a 3rd world London.

No, Steve, Khan sold them for scrap because, in the 4 years since they were purchased, they couldn't be used and he wasn't able to.And, again, it's Khan. K-H-A-N. Insisting on spelling it wrong doesn't paint you in the best light.

Many police vehicles on the routes in and out of Brentford this morning . I am told that there is an 'immigration centre' in Brentford whatever that is. Doubtless the Neanderthals will see it as a target just as those in Portsmouth attacked the home of a paediatric surgeon for 'interfering with children'.I shall avoid the area later today

While some mis-spellings of names can be amusing, such as Stammer for Starmer, I have never fathomed out why Silly Steve insists on calling the Mayor of London Kahn instead of Khan. Perhaps he could explain ?

As already pointed out it doesn’t require an Act of Parliament to authorise the use of water cannons. The Home Secretary can authorise use within minutes of receiving a request from any Police Commissioner. Kahn sold ours off at a huge loss simply to make a political point against Boris. If he hadn’t been such a vindictive, short sighted moron they could have been deployed now to keep the thugs under control.

It’s quite obvious that Keir doesn’t have any speech impediment although he does have an irritating, nasal, whining, self righteous, church like, sanctimonious, sermon giving, ineffectual voice. My ‘play’ on Stammer is purely because (to me) he commands no authority when he speaks, he always appears like a frightened deer caught in headlights when he is asked a question, he tends to fluff his answers and ums and ahs and changes his mind. He just appears to be rather awkward. The same could be said of Theresa May and the despicable Lettuce.

I think the heat over the weekend will deter most wannabe demonstrators and cyclists from venturing out this weekend. Of course if inept Kahn hadn’t given away the water cannons they could have been used to cool down things.
