I think you are right. Going on holiday amid the riots and NOT conviening a COBRA meeting is hardly what will win admiration.

Fair enough. So you are generally happy with the current service - others aren’t.  I guess it could be time of travel. Will be interesting to see next year if nationalisation will make it better or worse. I really don’t know. If it does get worse it will just be another nail in Labour’s coffin and, in just a few weeks, they have already succeeded in alienating millions of people. The conservatives took 14 years to P off the nation. Perhaps Labour will take just 14 months or even 14 weeks!!

As a commuter using SWR in the morning and afternoons I find the service is usually reliable and seats are available most of the time.

Hopefully not, Richard. Currently overcrowded with delays and cancellations and very expensive It can’t get worse surely?  Have tried to support it but always regret it and revert to car if at all possible. e.g. if parking at destination isn’t going to be a problem. If it is, Uber is usually second option. Every now and again give train another chance but usually disappointed.
