Strictly hoo-ha

Is it just me - but why all of a sudden are various 'celebrities' joining in the whingeing about their 'treatment' by their professional dance partners? Have people given up talking to one another? If someone asked you to do something you didn't like or thought might hurt you - wouldn't you say something at the time and refuse to do it? Surely by now anyone taking part must know it will be very hard work physically? I do wonder what planet some of these people inhabit.

And now that Huw Edwards is out of the closet and we can see that the BBC has continued to pay him his huge salary for months and months after he stopped working for them it is no surprise that tens of thousands of people are not renewing their TV licences as the corporation continues to squander money.  Are people like Gary Linekar and Zoe Ball really, really worth their £million salaries?  TV licence inspectors have no legal right to enter your home to see if you have a TV unless they have a Court Order.  And if they do get a Court Order,  I’m extremely rare circumstances, one is simply asked to buy a licence and there is no fine or penalty at all so most people will get away with not having a licence. It seems now that the younger generation are saying that only suckers buy a licence.

I would guess that the reason she waited to be eliminated, was to see what the maximum amount of money she could receive after weighing up all the possible outcomes of her decision, one way or the other, with her agent. Follow the money...

“ Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore alleges that she was subjected to “inappropriate behaviour” during her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.The former Love Island host, 39, was partnered with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice in 2016, and was the seventh celebrity eliminated”Begs the question of why she waited to be eliminated and didn’t just leave the show. Surely the BBC should now just cancel the show because it is obvious that more disgruntled snowflakes are fast making the bandwagon a war wagon. No doubt hoping for compensation for stress caused to them and their families and pets.

I saw the interview with  Krishnan Guru-Murthy on Ch4  7 o’clock news the other night and we were all astounded that this interview was given 38 minutes of the 50 minute news program. The world is burning yet we were subjected to this nonsense from someone who is clearly a snowflake with mental health problems. The interview was extremely repetitive and very, very boring. We all know that many actors are ‘borderline’ and totally up themselves but, really…….We nearly fell off our chairs when, after 38 minutes, Krishnan invited the viewers to watch the FULL interview by streaming.  I’d rather watch a lettuce wilt in the sun.

In light of all the Strictly revelations I am considering taking legal action against myself because the way I talk to myself when at work is simply inexcusable. I will NOT stand for it!

Agree - we love Strictly - cheers up those dark winter evenings. And it is really great to see how the contestants improve and meet what must be a pretty big challenge. The show has been running long enough for people to know what is likely to be expected of participants, and a lot of them are no strangers to social media, so this apparent inability to communicate with the professional dancers really doesn't sit right.
