South Acton to Brentford has not been an electrified rail route for many years. Are we about to get a revived service, or is this part of the new Cross London route,or is it a mistake?

What does seem more likely is the link from Southall to a new station station serving Sky and the massive Tesco/ Homebase developments which terminates c.200m short of the SWR line at Syon Lane. This opens up a load more routes to SWR passengers without having to travel out to Reading to use the established interchange.

The freight line between South Acton and the Hounslow loop line is part of the West London Orbital rail project.https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/about-tfl/how-we-work/planning-for-the-future/west-london-orbitalThey would need to electrify the S Acton - Brentford section, along with other sections of the route, unless they run trains with diesel or batteries. The website linked says "If funding can be identified - and we get all approvals needed for the scheme - then services could start in the early 2030s."Early 2030s still seems optimistic.
