Congestion Charge

Today The Telegraph has reported that Sadiq Khan is extended London's congestion charge to all zero emission vehicles as from Christmas Day 2025.No surprise there of course.

probably more to do with human pollution and not mechanical pollution, well, that would be small compared to what multi millions of humans are chucking out with all that trash and biological emissions in such a small acreage of the UK called London.

Yes the clue is in the word congestion but will it actually ease congestion? Not at all sure about that.Many people using EVs are either company car drivers and or not short of a couple of bob and hardly likely to be put off using the motor. I've a whisper that the extra money raised could help to fund the full reopening of Hammersmith Bridge. Good news eh?

The clue is in the name 'congestion charge'. It doesn't matter if the vehicles are powered by unicorn breath or sprinklings of fairy dust, they would still take up the same space on the roads.
