Councillor Amy Croft

Re the piece on the front page, just to say I have found Councillor Amy Croft to be an incredibly intelligent, caring and extremely effective councillor.  She is exceptional.  When the council elections come up next year, she will certainly get my vote!

The only time I ever saw Ruth Cadbury was years ago at at a hustings meeting. Never saw her out and about in Chiswick nor any evidence of a local surgery. Andy Slaughter has a much better reputation as a committed constituency MP.  Let’s all hope that continues  with Labour now in government.

It's just like when the L B H use of the words trial and temporary, they mean permanent to them.  They use a different dictionary, to the rest of us.

What does he have to do for people to see the truth.  The people of his constituency have voted him in for 40 years.  I will repeat that 40 YEARS.  He is an excellent constituency MP he has regular Saturday surgeries where he is there he deals with all correspondence in a timely manner and sees local businesses as his constituents too and has helped many many people over the years negotiate the trauma of dealing with big government departments.  He is not sectarian in this and will make people a cup o tea or coffee himself and give them his time generously and freely as an MP is supposed to do.  Which is far more than I can say about some of the ones elected in B&I over the years.

Francis, you have to remember that for Humpty Campbell, when he uses a word, it means just what he chooses it to mean – neither more nor less. So I'm not sure a dictionary would be much use to him.

There is no generally about it.Chiswick people in the three Hounslow Wards have just voted for any idiot in a blue rosette regardless of how indolent or insensible they are. Until they made too much of a fuss about a LTN.

Chiswick (including the Ealing bit) generally has the good sense to elect diligent and sensible councillors of whatever political stripe. However, if the fallout from last night's result leads to a Reform/Conservative Party merger, it might be a challenge for people to ignore a councillor's affiliation no matter how effective they have been.

She hasn’t been a Councillor for long. The complacency seems to set in after a couple of years especially when the despotic leaders want total control and obedience.
