Venue to watch the election results?

It's going to be an interesting election and I was wondering if people knew of any local venue which will be live-screening the results. I doubt any pub will want to stay open all night, and I'm not a member of any political party so I can't join any 'official' function. I'll keep my partner awake if I watch at home! Any ideas?

The Gunnersbury will be showing the build up and from 10pm we'll get the Exit poll and reactions.The party is non-political - or at least unified by officially endorsing Count Binface, whose policies on affordable croissants, bringing back Ceefax and making Thames Water bosses swim in their own discharged effluent appeal to most people!The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation is covering the election from the pub with a couple of experts and vox pops from attendees - their foreign correspondent is Chiswick based.Whatever your politics, this is an incredibly important election.Some of us will want a drink and some may need a drink at 10pm and there's a late license till 2am.

The Cinnamon Club is open all the way through election night into the next morning. You will probably be expected to buy a very expensive curry but the location couldn't be better to witness a bit of history. Not sure how long they would let you keep a table but you'll probably see some very interesting stuff both inside the restaurant and on the screen.

Agreed,  I believe it should be made mandatory for all party leaders to be subjected to an Andrew Neil / Paxman forensic interview.

Wish Paxman was still up to it - I recall him skewering Galloway and wiping the smirk off his face on election night a few years ago.

Hopefully a series of them,  but Liz Truss,  Rees-Mogg all pretty appealing to watch.Wish Dimbleby was still presenting.

Yes, I figured 2am would be the latest anywhere public would be open. Trouble is that most of the interesting results occur in the hours after that.I may have to be content with staying at home and repressing any loud cries of emotion…Thanks for the info.

I'm with Jeremy Clarkson's view.If Reform get 5 seats in our unfair voting system I will be pleased, and look forward to a change of guard come 2028.I don't believe Labour will last the full 5.

Watching the election results in a pub? Never heard of that.I suppose it will be ok to celebrate when the Tories get their backsides kicked and drown my sorrows when Labour is elected.That's about where I'm at with British politics

Yes could be lots of ‘Portillo’ moments. My personal hope would be for Liz Truss to lose her seat. What would be yours Richard? Would you like Corbyn to win or lose? Corbyn is predicted to win as is Galloway though Reform are also polling well in Rochdale.
