Is there a legal minimum that LBH need to give for suspending parking, for regular non emergency work such as cleaning?

"And if he was away how would he have got there without his car?"On his bike, perhaps. Or there are such things as trains and buses.

Is the work all subcontracted out?

Indeed - they were issuing tickets just 18 hours after putting up notices suspending the parking.

Russ isn't away and his track record of noticing things and understanding them doesn't give me any confidence in the accuracy of his claims on the notice period he has been given to move his car. And if he was away how would he have got there without his car?

More than less than a day's notice would be nice though. If you're going to be away for a couple of days, how are you supposed to know that someone is going to be wanting to sweep the street while you are away? Telepathy?

Yes, let’s hope he can pull himself together again without the help of all the king’s horses etc.
Humpty seems to have scrambled egg-brain syndrome today.
I can't Russ. It's just too much to take. I had to move my car the other day and I had to restrain myself from logging on to the Chiswick W4 forum to complain about it. Quite nice to have a cleaner street in fairness but they should have consulted me for months before doing it and probably held a referendum to ensure majority support for cleaner streets.
Calm down Paul and get a grip. Deep breaths there. Remember your anger management.
Yeah everything's a conspiracy against the poor put-upon motorists. How dare they ask you to move your car for a day so they can clean your street. It's against your human rights.
Just spoke with a neighbour as she posted Labour Party leaflets - she thinks it’s LBH money grubbing again and letting their side down.
Just move your car and stop your whining Russ.
The afternoon before is what they’re doing
Guidelines (as published by other London councils) are three calendar days for non emergency suspensions.
