How sad that some people just can’t help themselves by posting unkind, unhelpful derogatory comments. This is not a ‘political’ project but rest assured that with Abundance and Karen Liebriech behind it, every effort will be made to ensure its success. The success of the many other projects in which they have initiated has been their success of getting volunteers to adopt areas near them and carry out general maintenance such as watering, litter picking and reporting back when a project has been vandalised or not doing well. It would be a good thing if those who have been so negative would stir yourselves to volunteer which would help to make you alive to the initiative and energy required to improve the street scene of Chiswick.Don’t for a moment forget that there are always costs involved and the raising of the funds needs persuasion, begging and cajoling those they know as well as tapping those in the seats of power to assist.I shall watch this space to see if I recognise the names of the negatives on the volunteering list. When you have done that take a walk along TGT to see but a few of the projects that have made such a difference to the area. Sit on the benches, admire the flowers, the artwork on the embankment and the wonderful ‘timeline’ under the bridge. Sadly it looks like a thief or vandals have damaged the fountain.
