Presumably you no longer have a garden so catproofing is not the answer. A catwheel provides them with hours of entertainment if you have somewhere to put it. Otherwise there are lots of interactive toys on Amazon that can keep cats entertained. Unfortunately most have batteries so I can't use them as my puppy will destroy them and could swallow the batteries so I spend quite a lot of time playing fetch with toy mice and running round the house and (catproofed) garden with retractive wands sporting dangling feathers, they love that. And maybe think about a kitten or two? Mine spend a lot of time chasing each other round the house snd garden, play-fighting or just grooming and cuddling up with each other.
