How about providing a better service and your staff might not get abused. Your trains are never on time. Ever. That's abusing the passengers but who cares about them

I think we are long past the time when we would take advice on behaviour from any member of the current government.

You can understand why people hit out when Gillian Keegan no less says she would have PUNCHED a rude Ofsted inspector!

I use TfL on a weekly basis and the Piccadilly Line has regularly something going not quite right. Still, I’d never think of abusing the staff. There’s absolutely no excuse for it.

'Never' is a big word and you render it meaningless.

I agree.I used the service from Brentford to Vauxhall and Waterloo every day for nine years. Delays were rare and were often due to circumstances well outside SWT/SWRs control including the regular passenger incident (or as expressed by the train guard "another bloody fight at Feltham") or the memorable meltdown of the signalling and announcement system (when I learnt that the on-train announcements are generated centrally) when we were told just after Chiswick as the train crept along, that "the next station stop is Portsmouth Harbour, where this train terminates". Followed by "can the guard please contact the driver".

"Your trains are never on time. Ever."Nonsense. As a regular user of SWR to and from Clapham Junction they are often on time, and rarely more than a minute or two out most days.

Two points - most delays on the local rail network are due to issues which are the responsibility of Network Rail. Even if there are delays which are down to the train company, it is never the fault of station staff so there is never an excuse to give them any abuse.
