Hi Felicity, possibly you're right, it hadn't occurred to me that Francis might have been talking about the Sainsbury's car park.I get what you are saying about an evening out lasting longer than 2 hours, but unless you have some way of ensuring there will be spaces available for those who feel vulnerable or unsafe parking elsewhere, I think the likelihood is that most who feel that way about their safety probably wouldn't find a space in the central car park anyway. There will be more demand for the limited spaces in due course when the development opens and people come to visit residents.A limit of two hours would at least improve the chances of being able to find a place in the evening in the central car park, as spaces wouldn't be blocked up with cars parked there for the night.The other way of making it more likely that people can find a space to park, would be to start charging for parking after 7pm, but that smacks a bit of using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
